Hello everyone,
I want to congratulate you on a great forum. I am a watch lover, but I have never ordered a Rolex until now. I want to apologize in advance if my question is incorrect or the topic is not for here. My wife and I have an anniversary in a few months and I decided to give her as a gift a Rolex Datejust 36. I am aware of the high demand and low availability of the brand, but when I visited my local dealer I was put on the list and told that I could get the watch in about 18 months. After a quick read through the forums and reviews on GMB there have been many comments that the wait time for this particular model and size is quite a bit shorter, and that it may even be available at some dealers. Don't get me wrong if I have to I'm willing to wait, it's a Rolex after all but I was wondering if that's what the current timelines are for this model? I'm inclined to buy it from another dealer in Europe as well, but I don't know what their lead times are and if they accept orders from other countries. I would be grateful if any of you could share an opinion on the matter.
