I’m not a fancy person but it when it comes to humidors I love the old wood ones. I know a wineador would serve me better but I make this one work. Keeping the humidity at the proper level is important but just as important is keeping the temperature where it needs to be as well. I keep mine in a spot in my house where it’s close enough to an air vent to keep the temperature where I want it but not too close where it’ll fluctuate too much. I’m also a person who freezes their cigars when I receive them so they’ll never be any issues at any time.

Today we’re discussing my Woodronic cigar humidor that I purchased off Amazon. The seller states it’s made to hold between 100-150 cigars and I found this to be true in my case. I should add that the majority of my cigars are toro and robusto and I keep just over 100 in it at all times.

It comes lined with Spanish cedar, has three drawers with windowed fronts, two crystal gel humidifiers, and a digital temperature and humidity gauge. For these cheaper humidors, the digital gauges are the only way to go, the mechanical gauges on this level of humidors are garbage, at best. On the note of gauges please pay no attention to the temperature and humidity levels in my pictures. They were taken when it was open so they are off but the humidor holds the humidity level perfectly. Some pictures also show it in Celcius but it was changed to the proper, American Fahrenheit system. (haha)

The humidor is made quite well, it creates a wonderful seal around the door, has nice brass looking hinges, and when you go to close the door it automatically pulls itself fully closed which is a nice touch.

When I first received the humidor I seasoned it with distilled water and inserted the two crystal gel humidifiers that were included. Again, filled with distilled water. After a couple of days and the humidity levels were staying strong I put the cigars in and found I was running out of room due to the crystal gel humidifiers. While included crystal gel humidifiers work great, I needed to free up some space so I turned to the tried and true Boveda packs. I used the 72% 60-gram packets which have held the humidity strong.

As you can probably tell I’m happy with my Woodronic humidor and have no problem recommending it to others, assuming you can keep the temperature where it needs to be. If that’s an issue then I would recommend a wineador instead.

Stay safe, be kind, and help those in need.
