Welcome to Typical EDC!

I’m excited to have you join my little space on the web. I’m a lifetime fan of EDC and am a police chief, a law enforcement firearms instructor in two states, a CCW instructor in two states, a GLOCK, AR15/M16, Sig Sauer, and 1911 armorer. As a law enforcement officer, I have been a tactical flight officer (TFO), on SWAT (most of the years as the team medic), and an SRT team leader among other positions.

I’m trained as an evidence technician, close quarter combat (CQB), Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and high yield Explosives (CBRNE), and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), to name a few.

I teach CPR, Stop The Bleed, TASER (both their law enforcement & civilian classes), OC (pepper spray), handcuffing, distraction devices (smoke grenades & flashbangs), NARCAN, and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC).

Why do I tell you all of this? Simple, to show that I have real-world training and experience in the topics I cover and I only cover them because I genuinely enjoy them. I have tested most of the items I discuss in real world, no babying manners. I’ve been shot at, I’ve used tourniquets, packed wounds, cut car accident victims out of their seatbelts, and done all of this in the hot summer, freezing winters, and everything in between.

Even with the experiences that I do have, I do not begin to pretend to know everything or to be an expert. I am simply reviewing and discussing items based solely on MY experiences, not on anyone else. Something may work great for someone else and not all for me or vice versa. Neither side is right or wrong.
Stay safe, be kind, and help those in need.
