Not all Swiss-made watches have to be expensive, Tissot proves this with their PRC 200 Chronograph which hits well above its price point. For those that don’t know Tissot, who’s part of Swatch Group has been making fine timepieces since 1853 are well-known worldwide for their quality.

While I’m known for my love of diver watches my second favorite type are chronographs. When doing my research I came across the Tissot PRC 200 Chronograph. I was pleasantly surprised with the price, approximately $400 when I bought mine directly from Tissot’s website.

While I much prefer automatic watches I am not opposed to quartz when they are properly made. And while it shouldn’t matter if I am not a fan of the ticking second hand. What’s nice about a chronograph is that ticking isn’t in your face.

This watch is built above its cost, it has a sapphire crystal, 200-meter water resistance, screw-down crown, four jewels, and a silicone band.

I’ll admit I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about having such a brightly colored band as I’ve never had one like it before but I have to admit I was wrong and fell in love right away. The strap contrasts nicely with the panda-style dial.

I wear it much more than I ever expected and have begun looking at different watch bands for some of my other watches that normally would never have caught my eye.

The build quality is of the utmost quality, the push buttons have a solid feel and I have zero worry about it outlasting me.

Stay safe, be kind, and help those in need.
